Here’s a beautiful Princeton Reverb. Not at all unusual to see these, but this one is ALL ORIGINAL! Confirmed 1966 by the date codes on all transformers, caps, pots, and chassis. (One transformer was 1964, but that’s no surprise.)
This came to me to replace the 2-prong power cord with a grounded 3-prong. As far as I can tell, I am the first person to be inside this chassis since it left the factory.
The truly amazing part is that all the caps still test OK for both capacitance and ESR. No leakage here! I let the owner know that his luck will run out eventually, and we will need to replace caps. At that time, we will probably do a bit of housekeeping in there. But, for now, it continues to run original. Don’t fix what’s not broken!
